TEMPORARY & MOBILE WASTEWATER / FILTRATE TREATMENT SYSTEMS

Environmental Dredging

Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Temporary and Permanent Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants/Facilities

Sevenson provides long-term operation and maintenance of permanent water, wastewater and leachate treatment facilities, all of which are managed by experienced operators.

Sevenson’s O+M experience dates back to 1982 when the company was awarded the first design/build contract under the Superfund program, which involved constructing a permanent treatment facility at the Love Canal site in Niagara Falls, New York. The facility remains in operation today.

Sevenson owns, operates, and maintains a full range of equipment and resources to provide temporary onsite water treatment services in support of dredging/dewatering and field remediation activities. This equipment includes:

  • Centrifugal Pumps – 1-inch to 12-inch capacity
  • Air Diaphragm Pumps – 1-inch to 4-inch capacity
  • Process Hose and Piping – 1 inch to 12 inches
  • Temporary Storage Tankage – Modutanks and Frac Tanks
  • Oil/Water Separators – 20,000-gallon capacity
  • Flocculation/Clarifiers/Settling Tanks – 20,000-gallon capacity
  • Mix Tanks – 20,000-gallon capacity
  • Polymer Feed Systems
  • Chemical Feed Pumps
  • Sand and Carbon Filters – 3,000- to 10,000-gallon capacity

This equipment inventory enables Sevenson to design, build, and O+M small to large water treatment systems. The equipment is maintained to allow for rapid mobilization and assembly. Sevenson’s water treatment systems are designed for redundancy, which minimizes periods of inactivity. Backup pumps, valves, gauges, switches, and similar elements are inventoried onsite to streamline maintenance activities. Bench-scale equipment for water treatability studies is utilized at Waste Stream Technology’s laboratory to design the most effective water treatment systems that meet discharge criteria.

Sevenson’s ability to conduct treatability studies for water treatment applications, combined with an inventory of equipment, allows for developing onsite water treatment systems that can be efficiently mobilized, assembled, and put into operation on short notice. In-house scientific staff is also available to support water treatment plant operations, as well as provide technical support in the event of fluctuating site conditions. Additionally, Sevenson has the in-house ability to construct permanent water treatment plants in accordance with engineered specifications.
